Metro Nashville Public Schools
Elementary education building construction requires strict time management for a school with classrooms, offices, and gymnasium to be completed in nine months. Although the project was awarded in July construction could not begin until October as a result of rock site that slowed down construction of the building pad. Even ordinary projects on a tight schedule can pose special challenges, but quick reactions to difficulties or change orders required the active cooperation of suppliers and sub-contractors. The final product was a spacious new school for a growing community.
It was a chalĀlenging project for all concerned, but Bob Heffington, who oversees construction of Metro schools, said the relationship with Carden Company was a positive one and was happy with their work.
